a message from the president & cEO
I want to take this opportunity to thank you, our member, for your loyalty and ongoing support of Kaiperm.
To better serve you, we have been working diligently to bring you a secure and cutting-edge banking platform designed to empower you to do more with Kaiperm. This new system will go live on Wednesday April 3rd, 2019.
This upgrade will cause us to be closed on Monday April 1st and Tuesday April 2nd. During this time, we will be bringing the old system down and the new system up. We will resume regular business hours and operations on Wednesday, April 3rd. Our Member Services team will be available by phone & email on April 1st and April 2nd during business hours to answer any questions you may have. Please note, when calling the Credit Union during our system upgrade, you may experience longer than usual wait times because of high call volumes. During these times, please be patient with the staff as they are working to ensure each member receives the time and attention they deserve. Our staff continues to work around the clock in preparation for the system upgrade, and will continue to work extended hours after the upgrade to ensure everything is functioning properly and you have the support you need. I want to thank my staff for being so diligent and determined during this process!
Thank you for your membership! I am confident that you will notice the benefits of this system upgrade, and I look forward to providing you the best possible banking experience in 2019 and beyond.
- Karen Introcaso, President/CEO

+ Will the credit union be secure while all this is going on?
Yes. As always, every precaution will be taken to ensure the security of all members, their account information and records while we implement this new system.
+ What should I do to prepare?
Download the preparation checklist above to help you prepare for the system upgrade.
Schedule your normal online activities (set up bills to pay, check balances, etc.) before the close of business, Friday, March 29. Because many of our services will be unavailable after we close Friday, March 29, until we re-open Wednesday, April 3, we recommend that you look ahead regarding any financial matters and take care of any business before the close of business Friday, March 29.
Consider this 2-day maintenance period much as you would a federal holiday that falls on a Monday and Tuesday. When we are closed, those transactions take place on the next business day. In this case, Wednesday, April 3.
+ Will my transaction history prior to the conversion be available after the conversion through online banking?
Unfortunately, the new system will NOT be bringing over transaction history. Don't worry though! You will still have access to 12 months of eStatements through online banking. This may not be available until a week after the system upgrade. If you need more account history, we will provide it to you at no charge (fees waived). You are encouraged to download your existing monthly statements on online banking prior to the system upgrade. Please contact us if you need assistance with this.
+ How can I be sure that my account information will be correctly transferred to the new system?
We’ve been working within our new system for several months. All of your data has been verified, balanced, tested and reviewed to ensure accuracy.
+ Will my monthly statements remain the same?
The format of your statements will be improved for readability, but the information will be the same.
+ Will this affect my Kaiperm account number(s)? Will it change?
Your member number will not change, but your suffixes will change. For example, a Primary Share Savings Suffix used to be "100", and it will now be labeled as "001". This will not affect your scheduled transfers or payments in any way.
+ Will I be able to use my Kaiperm debit card during this period?
Yes and No. Debit cards will function but will have periods of limited access to funds during the system upgrade. During the limited access period, you will be able to withdraw $200 from ATMs and $500 point of sale, daily.
+ Will I be able to use my Kaiperm credit card during this period?
Yes. Your Kaiperm credit card will work as usual.
+ Will my paycheck/Direct Deposit be accepted on Friday, March 29? Will I need to alert my employer?
Yes, if you’re due to be paid on Friday, March 29, your paycheck/Direct Deposit will be accepted as usual on March 29. However, if you’re due to be paid on Monday, April 1 or Tuesday, April 2, you will not have access until we re-open on Wednesday, April 3.
No, there will be no need to alert your employer.
+ Will I be able to deposit a check in branch on Monday April 1 or Tuesday April 2?
No. We will be closed and unable to make transactions to accounts during the system upgrade. Branches will re-open at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3.
+ Will my loan payment(s) be processed during this system upgrade period?
All loan payments set up for an automated transfer will process as usual through Friday, March 29. Any payments set up for transfer on Monday April 1 or Tuesday April 2 will not be processed until Wednesday April 3. You will not be charged any late fees if your loan payment falls on April 1 or April 2 and we do not process your payment until April 3.
+ Will you have a mobile banking app with remote deposit capture?
Yes! One of the great new features of the new system will be a mobile banking app with remote deposit capture. We will be launching the app June 1, 2019.
+ I need to do a wire transfer. By what time on Friday do I need to submit the request?
Per usual, you will need to have any wire transfer request in by 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 29. Wire transfer will then be unavailable until Wednesday, April 3.
+ I use the CO-OP SPRIG Mobile App. Will this upgrade affect my access?
Yes, it will. You will need to remove Kaiperm from the App, and re-enroll on or after Wednesday, April 3.
